Going Camping

Hello everyone. Today we are going camping for the weekend. So, I won't be back until Sunday night and won't be posting anything until Monday. Meanwhile I will leave you with these pics of our last camping trip. I hope you enjoy this pics.

Already in the camping site and exploring around. As you can see I changed my clothes because it was getting chili. The picture above is on the way to the camping site.

Posing for the camera. :-)

At night we got a little crazy and we were dancing until around 10 or 11pm. or I should say until the Ranger came to tell us to STOP making noise. :-) Because you know that in the camping site you are supposed to stop making noise at 8:00pm.

My sis and I dancing like crazies and singing karaoke in front of our fire. Hubby took the pics while the kids were already sleeping. We had a great time!
So, what are you doing this weekend?

DIY Dress

This is one of the dresses I have been working on. I like flowy dresses and I like them when they twirl too.  I just wish I can have more time to do more sewing and crafts around the house, I just feel like the time goes by so quickly and feel like I haven't done much.

I am also working on a renaissance costume with the help of my sister. I could do it alone but she has more experience sewing and she can do it fast. Unlike me, it would take me a couple weeks, when she can do it in a couple days. Man! if I have all of her knowledge and skills I would be sewing non stop and I would make me and my family all the latest trends. :-)

But here I am with my simple dress that I made, and I am proud of it.:-) When people ask where did you get it? I quickly squeal "I made it". :-)

White Pants & French Braid

The weather it has been really nice all these days, some days hotter than others, but when it is too hot I just don't go out. But in my case I always have somewhere to go or do. Kids can't stay indoors all day and all the time otherwise they'll go crazy, and then I'll go crazy. :-)

Wearing white pants and playing with kids? pants can't stay clean for long. As soon as my little one wants to be picked up, his shoes touches my pants and there you go, I have foot prints on my nice, clean and white pants. It looks like someone just walked all over me. :-) but believe me, no one walks over me... well... at least not in that way. :-)

This time I made a french braid on my hair. I usually get really hot when my hair is loose and on my face. I remember my mom making this braid when I was little and went to school like this, until I learned to make it myself.. :-) I have not made this braid since then. :-)
I hope you are having a wonderful day and thank you for reading.

The Wedding Planner or Flower Picker?

This picture is from a couple weeks ago when I took my sister to this awesome place for her birthday.  This place is called "Filoli Garden" and here they filmed a scene of the movie "The Wedding Planner" with Jennifer Lopez. Although, I have never seen the movie but I can see why they chose this place. This place is amazingly beautiful!.

We started the self guided tour in the Mansion, and then we went out to the garden. The place is huge and has lots of flowers and fruit trees, and a lot of vegetation, and the view of the mountain all dressed in green. What can I say? It is just gorgeous!

I know... I know... I am not a "wedding planner" but the dress I chose to wear makes me look more like a "flower picker" all I need is my wicker basket and ready to pick some flowers. :-) What I actually picked was a pear from the tree. I am pretty sure I am not supposed to do that, but that delicious pear was staring at me. I had to eat it. :-)

Black & Brown for Summer??

After taking this picture I realized that I was wearing almost all dark colors, and we are in a middle of summer. I think I should have been wearing some happy colors or a flower dress.  But who says you have to wear such color for such season only, or no white pants before memorial day? Oh well! rules are for breaking plus I just liked the outfit and I was very comfortable in it.

I do have to admit that I like the BLACK color. In winter I turn kind of goth because I dress with a lot of blacks and leather and some chains, but do not be afraid! I won't be dressing all black this time.... maybe I will .... maybe not ....don't know yet. :-)

Blue Dress for Me & DIY Dress for Her

This is another dress that I have purchased while browsing at GAP. I was looking for some cropped pants but I didn't find my size. While searching thru the racks I bumped myself with this nice dress that it's also not my size. I was looking for a size 0 and this dress is size 2 (smallest they had), which for me it is a little too big everywhere, like armholes, waistline, neckline.  I not only loved the dress but also the price because it was on SALE. Retail was like $70 or something, then it was marked on sale like $25 or something, plus it had an extra 50 or 60% off on top of that, and my final price was only $12.00. yeah!! that's what I call a good price.

Even though the dress was still a little too big for my frame size, I just bought it not only because I really liked the dress but because of the really good price too. :-) How can you pass on that?. Seriously, buying clothes just because the price is too good to pass even if I don't love the outfit that much?. Oh man!! I have done that a lot. I have to STOP doing that.

But I really like this dress and it is very comfortable and stylish. Don't you think so?

And this is my other new shoes that I bought. I am trying to wear smaller heels just to make my feet feel better, but since I am used to higher heels I actually feel more comfortable in higher heels than this one. Is that weird? Don't get me wrong, I still like these shoes and they are very comfortable but my feet are just more used to the higher ones. Ok that's weird. :-)

Here I wanted to show you the dress I made for my daughter. I am so glad she loves it, I would say a lot because she wore it like 3 days in a row, and she kept wanting to wear it more but I had to force her not to because it needed to be washed. :-) How can you get mad at that? I was just so happy she loved the dress so much, I don't know if because of the style or because mommy made it. Either way I was so happy she loved it. I will make more dresses and I will post them too. :-)

My new addition to my pile of shoes. :-)

Printed Leopard Dress

I bought this dress at H&M last week. My sister and I were browsing clothing for her but I ended up with this awesome dress for me. I was very happy with the pattern, the length and most important.. the price! just $10 bucks!

Going shopping is a big problem for me, every time I go to the mall looking to buy a "present" for someone because I have to arrive with a present to the party, it will be embarrassing if I arrived empty handed. Anyway, I always forget to buy the PRESENT for the "birthday person" and I always end up buying something for myself. :-( sad sad sad... or should I say selfish?? oh no! I don't like that word. Next time I will be focused on buying just the present, but it is really hard when you see SALE. :-)

Thank you to all the lovely ladies blogger I realized that I don't need to spend a lot of money to be fashionable. I have noticed a lot of them thrift shop and I love it. I have never done that but I will start visiting some thrift stores to see if I find some awesome stuff that they find. Hopefully my wallet and my bank account won't be hurting anymore. :-)

Four Colour Dress

A few days ago I went to the mall with my sister, and were trying on clothes and found this dress that I really liked, but it had no price tag.  I asked the lady at the checkout counter how much it was and she went looking for another similar dress but I guess it was the only or last one left. After thinking for a few seconds she told me: 20 my respond: ok I'll take it! considering is an INC brand.

I like the four different colors and I also like the little half ring on the front, which actually should peek a little cleavage in them but... sorry! nothing there to show :-)

Also, I  like that the length fits me just right which for me it's really hard to find and I am glad I found this dress.

The best part? when it twirls. I love when it does that.

Maxi Dress

I like to wear dresses, any kind of dresses because they are very comfortable, but the only thing I don't like about a maxi dress is that sometimes it gets on the way, or when I seat down.....someone or myself steps on my dress, or when I go upstairs I have to pull my dress up, or if I go down the stairs I step on my own dress and roll down ... :-) ...well that never happened.... yet!

I just wear this dress if I have to run some errands and stuff but once I get home I change into a shorter skirt or dress. Just imagine that I have to do the chores of the house with this dress?.

I also have to watch for the little ones not to pull my dress down. Every time they go "mommy, mommy".... followed by a "pulling on my dress" equals "Mommy's chest area exposed". That is why I wear a short sleeves cardigan when I wear a strapless dress, or in this case is a little safer because my dress has straps.... but still... the material of the dress is stretch cotton and it will go down if it gets pulled hard enough, or in the case of my kids, when they hang on my dress. :-)

Ruffle Top & Jeans

I don't know what to write about this outfit another than it is very comfortable and nice looking. I do like to wear a lot of jeans and I just wear different tops to make a variation on the outfit.

This top has ruffles on the front which I like, but I just realize from this picture that this pose makes me look a little more... chested? on one side it might be good since I have almost none..haha.. :-)

Today, I have this very casual clothes because I took the kids to the zoo, that means a lot of walking translates into tennis shoes, not high heels. :-) Since I am not used to walk a lot in flat shoes, I discovered that another part of my muscle legs are not exercising properly.... or at least that is what I think it is.  We went for a long walk at the zoo watching the animals and standing in line for the rides, and then some more walking.  Next day, my legs were sore that I could barely walk.... ok I am exaggerating :-) but they were sore. That reminded me of "black friday" when I went shopping for 14 hours at the mall, is that a record or what? yes! 14 hours! I was already there at 7am. and finished my shopping at 9pm. I wore my almost flat boots, they are very comfortable that I could walk all day and I was still fine, maybe it was the "red bull" I drank at 12:30pm (courtesy of one store), or maybe it was the exciting of shopping.... who knows.... the thing it was that I was pumped up and ready for more shopping. I also remember that I didn't even eat breakfast, I just did one break at 4pm to grab some coffee and a sandwich (only ate half) and ready for more shopping. Indeed, next day my legs were sore too, but in comparison from yesterday's walk? it was only 5 hours of walking. This tells me I need to wear more flat shoes than high heels.
Probably you can run better than me because I am not a runner but I am a good walker.
