Review: Nordstrom Boots and Jackets.

Nordstrom is one of my favorite stores. I always check the website for new items, or sale items. And, sometimes I go to the store and spend a few hours there browsing the clothes, shoes, jewerly ... etc. I sometimes leave with a few good stuff and sometimes I leave empty handed but with a full belly. :-) They also have an awesome restaurant on the 3rd floor at my local Nordstrom. The service and food are great. So, when I don't buy clothes or shoes, at least I buy food. :-)

I searched the website and found these beautiful Jessica Simpson pair of high heel boots Here - Now on Sale. The only thing I didn't like about them was that the zipper didn't go all the way up, plus it was not on sale. I was hesitant to buy it at full price of $197.95 plus taxes goes over 200. But, I thought this could be an investment piece.
After receiving the package I opened it up and try them on, and was sad that they didn't fit right. I am size 6.0 and these boots were size 6.0 but it fitted too tight on my instep. Plus, the height was too tall, since I am a petite, these boots were too tall for my short legs. :-(

Veredict: Return

Also, purchase these rain boots - On sale now. And, they were also too tight. I couldn't even put my foot all the way down, they got stuck right in the middle.
Veredict: Return

Also, ordered these blazers that were on sale, but I didn't realized, it was all polyester, which I don't mind sometimes, but these were very cheap at the touch. I took one out and tried it on but I didn't like it. So, I put it back in the bag and I didn't even bother to open the other one. Blazer.Veredict: Return

So, I did return all of the items that I purchased. I spent the total of $323.73 and I am very happy I returned all of them. Instead, I purchase something more beautiful. Although, it costed more than double the price I paid for all these items.
Can you guess what I bought? It is only one item.

Thank you so much for reading.

Blue Top, Mustard Pants, Leopard Shoes.

In the spirit of Fall, I wanted to wear something colored to the season. :-) First of all, I wanted to buy these pants since I saw it on Kileen and on Jean. So, I went straight to H&M and found these pants at a great price, also bought them in blue and black. :-) They fit just perfect in size 2.

Adding a little spice to the outfit, I finally wore my leopard wedges. I had them for a long time and never got to wear them until yesterday. They are really cute and very comfortable to walk in.
I hope you have a great day and thank you for reading. :-)

Just Casual

Here, I dressed in shorts, because it is still kinda hot these days, even though Fall has started.  You know that it takes some time for the weather to change completely, it's not like it will change the same day fall starts... right?

I don't know what to write about this outfit another than it is very comfortable.  The shoes are a nice touch of glamour. :-)

Sunday Best 2

I decided I will dedicate "Sundays" to "Best Dress". You know, how in the old days they used to call it that way?. It seems that now a days it is getting lost to get well dress on sundays. I would think since most people work in a 9 to 5 job, they dress their best from monday thru friday, and we wait for the weekends to dress in very relaxing clothes or sometimes sloppy.
This time I will bring back the "Sunday Best" outfits.

We can dress our best to go out to brunch with friends, to go to church, or visit a family etc..

This outfit was my Best on Sunday. I went to church with my family, then we gathered for a hospitality and  got to chat with some friends. It was a nice relaxing Sunday.
About my outfit? I finally purchased something from a thrift store. Yes! the red skirt! it actually was a few sizes too big, but I altered it myself, and now it fits perfect. I paid just $4.00 for it. I wish I had taken a picture from before and after. I actually bought a few more items and I will post them as soon as they are altered to my size. :-)

I hope you had a wonderful weekend. And thank you for reading.

Fall but still hot

It is officially Fall! my favorite time of year. I love when the tree leaves changes color. They are so beautiful with many shades of red, orange, yellow. I love it!.  Close to my house, there is this street with lots of trees that looks like you are driving in a tunnel of trees. Yes, just like the picture I have on this blog. (top of page). I love driving or walking by that street just because it is so gorgeous, I wish it would stay that way forever, but you know that is impossible, because winter comes and all the trees get naked. ;-)

I live in CA, and the weather still has been kind of hot, between 90 and 97. So, no reason for me to layer my outfits. But, I did dress with green pants, like the grass, and light blue top, like the ski.

Sunday Best

Here it is another example of my love for polka dots (developed recently).
On Sundays, I try to dress my best, yes! that is the correct word "try". You know?... to go to church.  I know, I should try to dress my best everyday.

When my parents were young, they used to dressed their best everyday. (my mom still does). My dad would wear his suit with his white handkerchief on the pocket of his jacket, and his hat.  And my mom would wear her nice dresses, heels and pearls, with her nice up-do hair.  Other days, my mom and my aunt would go out to the main town and hung out there with their friends. They would go to the movies and walk at the park, just hanging out the stylish way.
I wish I had pictures of my mom with me, but I don't have any. Next time, I will ask her to send me some of her pics and I will post them.

And, this is how we spend our Sundays. We get up early to go to church. Then, we go out for brunch to our favorite restaurant that offers buffet. Sometimes we stay in the church when they offer hospitality. That reminds me, I need to host hospitality soon. ;-)

Then, we go to the park and let the kids play, or sometimes we go to the farmers market and do a little shopping, mainly fruit that we can eat at the park. :-) Then, we go back home, relax some more and watch a family movie all together. That is my Sunday Best, when I get to spend my day with my family (husband and children). It is the Best!
What is you Sunday best?

Sheer Polka Dots

Lately, I have been obsessed with polka dots. Before my obsession, I didn't own any. Now, when I go to the store I search for something with dots.... small, big, tiny.. etc... I have made some purchases of clothing with polka dots on them and will be showing more in future posts.
This blouse is one of my latest finds at Nordstrom, I found it on the sale rack. It was the only one and my size. yeayyy!!!

I live in California, so the weather is still warm. But this week it has cooled down a little. Like always... I never check the weather and I just pick my clothes of the day as soon as I get off the shower, while I am showering I look out the window  and see how is the weather.... then I go to my closet and get dressed. I know, I know... I should check the weather in advanced and choose my outfit the night before but... I feel too busy or too lazy to do that. ;-)
As you can see, it worked out just fine. The day was warm with a little breeze, it was perfect.

Look for sale and you'll score!

I purchased this top at forever 21. I ordered it online and on sale.

I found these awesome pants at Nordstrom and fits like a globe. They are Jag in petite.
Also, I found the shoes at Target on sale too. I just keep visiting the stores often enough that I find something good.
Actually, a lot of bloggers were recomending these shoes but I didn't want to pay the full price $29.00 or something. Then, one day I went back to do my regular shopping of (cleaning supplies, household items) and passed thru the shoe seccion and found these shoes on sale at $17.00 so I bought them.

Camping Outfit

This pic is from a week ago when we went camping. Yes, I wore this outfit for our camping trip. The weather was beautiful and hot enough to wear shorts. Although, I only wore these shoes to go to pick up my daughter from school. We sent her to school early, that way we had time to finish packing everything we needed. When finally we were ready, we went to pick her up and put on these shoes.:-)

As you can see, I didn't take my shoes off until we got to the camping site (3.5 to 4.0 hrs. later). Of course after we settled, I change into my sandals, then later into some warm clothes and tennis shoes.
I hope you had a wonderful weekend. Thanks for reading.

I was trying to seat on the rock, but I was sliding off. There is a good reason why we don't wear high heels while going camping. ;-)

Nordstrom Shoe Sale

I have been wanting to buy all these shoes. I know it might be crazy, but... my wallet is in luck. To my bad luck they sold out my size, and that is the reason I am not buying more shoes. But, there are a couple of shoes in my size and I will be ordering those. You are in luck if you find some in your size.

When I go shopping, I really go crazy buying stuff. For example, I went to H&M on wednesday (before yesterday), and I went to Nordstrom on thurday (yesterday)
. I did buy quite a few stuff and I spent quite a few $$$. But I still need to buy some shoes.
Please, someone STOP ME!

Accesorize is a must

This is how I normally am at home. I wear a dress (or any other clothes) but, I do not wear any earrings, bracelet, necklace, shoes or even my wedding ring. I just like to be comfortable when I am at home. Specially if I need to do the dishes or cooking or cleaning. I cannot do the chores if I have all those things dangling from my ears and wrists.
I am the type of person who wants to be comfortable but fashionable as well.  I have seen many bloggers with "statement necklaces" and they look gorgeous. I tried to wear some of those but I feel a little weird wearing huge necklaces. It's probably because I am not use to them... yet. But, eventually I want to wear more accessories like big bracelets, and big necklaces, and big earrings. :-) Maybe wearing everything big it is going to make me look tinier.;-)

As you can see, before I step out the door I accessorize a little. Put some earrings, watch, bracelet, "wedding ring" (very important), belt, purse, sunglasses and shoes (can't go anywhere without them), and voila! I am ready to go anywhere... in this case grocery shopping and pick up daughter from school.

If you haven't noticed, I also don't use any nail polish for my fingernails. As much as I want to color my nails, I feel weird too. What's up with all the weirdness with me?? oh well! I guess I am weird. But, I do like to color my toenails. I guess that is enough for me... for now at least.

A Little Safari

This is the second time I wear this dress since I bought it. The first time I wore it here I didn't use a belt. This time around I decided to accentuate the waist to see how it looks. I am pretty much wearing all the same... except the belt, some different accessories and the hair style.

I also realized, that the shoes does not really match with the belt. I should have used my skin color shoes. But overall, I still think is an improvement from the last time I wore this dress. :-) Well... there is no much you can do with it. Any ideas??

Looking Mad?

After a long weekend of being away, I am back to normal schedule.

Sorry for the not smiling pictures. There is a good reason for that. This is how I usually look when I walk around on the street, or do my errands, specially if I am wearing black. Once, someone told me that when he/she saw me walking around... this person did not say "hi" to me because they thought that I was mad.
I usually don't walk around smiling at everybody. Can you imagine? But I do smile for pics. :-)

For some reason, every time I wear black, my mood changes and I want to look tough bad ass. So, no one mess with me. That reminds me of an article I was reading about "Leather and Fur". "People are more violently opposed to fur than leather because it's safer to harass rich women than motorcycle gangs". Making my point clear. I sometimes like to look tough and sometimes I like to look girly girl. I do like change and experiment with outfits and colors. Let's see how the mood changes depending on the weather. ;-)

Although, I am not wearing leather except the black bracelet w/chain detail. The black color is what makes the statement for me.
