Washed Out

My sister is visiting from New York, so we went out to dinner and shoe shopping, although we didn't buy more shoes because I have already purchased 6 pairs this past week ;-) is that crazy or what? what can I say? I love shoes too.
Anyway, we just had a little relaxing time and I wore this lace top but I am sad you cannot really see the beautiful details of the lace, well... it was getting dark and we had to use flash but it kind of washed out the details of the top. Maybe I should buy me a better camera instead of shoes?? :-) or maybe I should not use flash. :-)

Instant Chic

Today I just wanted to stay home and organize, or I should say do a little spring cleaning and get rid of a lot of toys, you know if you have kids. You start buying and buying cute toys and then you receive some more from birthdays and holidays like Easter, oh! don't even get me started on those eggs, I see them all over my house even until now, you can say they really hide. :-)
Yes, I wanted to wear this dress because it's comfortable and fresh even for cleaning. I didn't plan on going out until hubby called me and told me to bring him some document he had forgotten, so to make myself look better without having to change clothes, I just put on my new shoes, long earrings and a bracelet. I know the watch doesn't really match but this is my favorite watch and I feel weird if I go out without a watch. Anyways, just wanted to show you how a simple dress can look much better with some heels or wedges in this case. What do you think?
When I bought this dress the length hit me just right above my knees, but after I washed it and put it in the dyer it shrunk. Now it fits me at the same length I saw it in the model. :-)

I loved these shoes the moment I saw them, I was a little hesitant to buy it because of the price, but I couldn't put it back.

Green with no Envy

Today, I dressed very casual because I didn't have plans to go out, actually... I did go to the grocery store, and yes! I always wear high heels when I go out, well... except the beach or hiking. :-) I have expressed my love for high heels, platforms, wedges .. etc.. as long as it's not flats.  I am sure there are a lot of ladies out there that share the same love with me.
To add a little splash of color to the top section I put on this necklace, and since my hair is very hard to fix, I just made a bun and tied it up. Done.

Brown Dress and New Shoes

I came back after a few days of being away, but I will post some of the pics I missed during those days. (future posts)
The weather is really hot and I decided I wanted to wear this dress with these brand new shoes, to test how comfortable were the shoes .... I went to the mall :-) I went for a little more shopping and I walked and walked pushing a stroller and carrying a heavy purse, it's not an easy task.  After walking for a few hours, I started feeling a little tightness on the straps, but not too bad considering they are brand new and sometimes new shoes gives you blisters, but these shoes passed the test. They were comfortable to walk and no blisters! yeah! but the funny thing is that I don't wear shoes this low, I usually wear higher heels and I feel more comfortable in those than these shorter heels. My heels are usually 4in high, preferable with platforms. I DO NOT wear flats at all, mainly because my feet hurts a lot when I do that, and if I wear high heels with no platforms... it hurts too... so I need to have at least 1/2inch platform to be ok.  So, these shoes passed the test of walking at the mall :-) and I am pretty sure it will get more comfortable the more it gets used.
I really love high heels shoes, and if you haven't noticed how high are my shoes because of the long pants? don't worry, I will show you more during this spring and summer season, I purchased a lot shoes and I can't wait to wear them all. :-)
I hope you enjoyed this post and if you have an experience with new shoes, old shoes or any kind of shoes, I would love to know your story.

I bought this dress because I liked it the moment I saw it, but also because it was on sale :-) but it fits me a little too big and too long, being a petite it is not easy to find clothes that fits perfect, Target usually has good prices and the smallest size they have is XS but even that fits me too big, but I bought it anyway, maybe one day someone will invent a pill to grow tall?? it doesn't hurt to dream. :-)

I usually wear a watch on my left arm, but this time I decided to wear this beautiful bracelet from "Liz Palacios" to match my necklace and also to add a little color to the ensemble, but during the day I kept watching the time and instead I kept looking at this bracelet :-) don't get me wrong, I love the look of this bracelet but I really missed my watch for the day, maybe because I am so used to watch the time. :-)

The heels are a little to low for my taste but I think they look pretty and decided to give a chance to these shoes.

Jeans & T-Shirt

I really like to wear jeans because they are comfortable to wear, and you can mix and match with any other piece of clothes on top and any kind of shoes.  You can dress up or down just by changing the shoes from flats, to heels, to boots, to tennis ...etc... and on top you can change it with t-shirts, blouses, leather jackets, lace ... etc...
I think jeans are one of the item of clothes that are classic to wear, and you can wear them however you like. There are NO rules for jeans. I love that. :-)

Sorry for the not so the smiley face, camera man was in a rush and took me the pic when I was not ready. And these are the only pictures I got for this outfit. (I had to use them)

Kaleidoscope Dress & Nude Pumps

I had this dress for quite some time but finally decided to wear it. I really love the fit, the length and the pattern of the dress, it reminds me of a kaleidoscope. :-)
It is really hard for me to find clothes that fits me just right, either fits me just the top part only, or just the hips but not the waist, but never the length.... is it because everyone is so tall or I am just too little?? either way, almost every item of clothes that I wear, I have to shrink it with the dryer, or in the case of jeans I have to shorten it to my inseam length. Luckily I know how to sew, not perfect but I can do some basic stuff. Just think of the money I save by not going to the seamstress and just do it myself.

2 Outifts in 1 Day

Today I will show you 2 outfits. Well, I had an appointment in the morning where I  had to dress a little formal, then after I got home I changed the black pants for jeans and added a cardigan but kept the green top, also I changed the shoes and accesories. :-) uhmm... I think I changed everything but the top :-)
I know you can't really see my shoes but I always wear my pants long enough to cover part of my shoes, so it gives the illusion that my legs are longer. The sad part about that is that my shoes don't get to shine on its own, but that's ok, they will bee seen when I wear dresses. :-) I hope you like this post.

Mother's Day ... a little late

This is the outfit I wore to my daughter's school to celebrate Mother's Day. The beautiful children had prepared a Runway Fashion Show for all the mothers present at the event. It was so nice to see our precious kids doing that for us, while we watch the kids walking the runway we enjoy a little tea time and hors d'oeuvres in our fancy tea cup.  Also, on our fancy table they had placed a beautiful picture frame with our kids picture dressed up as a fancy elegant lady from the 60s, and the boys were dressed as gentlemen dresses with outfits from the 60s. It was such a wonderful time, what can I say.... LOVED IT!!!

My precious daughter wanted to pose with me. Say Cheese!
